These Chicago homeowners came to us in dire need of some updates to elevate their outdated kitchen. Their goal was to brighten the space and improve functionality to compliment their unique loft-style apartment. Follow along the process of this stunning Lincoln Park kitchen remodel that we completed last year!
Demo
We started by taking out all the original cabinets, countertops, backsplashes, appliances, flooring, and initial structure. This thorough demolition allowed us to clear the space and prepare it for the significant transformations to come.
Plumbing & Electrical
With the space cleared and the walls exposed, we installed all new plumbing and electrical systems. This step ensured that the kitchen would be equipped to handle modern appliances and lighting fixtures, providing a solid foundation for the renovation.
Flooring
While finishing up the plumbing and electrical work, we installed brand-new hardwood flooring throughout the entire apartment. This not only enhanced the kitchen but also provided a cohesive look for the entire living space.
Drywall
After completing the flooring installation, we repaired all the drywall and built a new white frame on the perimeter of the cabinets. This step created a clean and polished backdrop for the upcoming cabinet installation.
Cabinets & Countertops
Next, we installed classic white shaker cabinets with matte black hardware. Paired with gorgeous white quartz countertops, these elements truly transformed the space, giving it a bright, modern look with a timeless appeal!
Final Touches
With the countertops in place, we began working on the new backsplash. This final touch added visual interest and tied the entire design together. We also installed new lighting and appliances, including a fridge, dishwasher, and stove, ensuring the kitchen was as functional as it was beautiful.
